UPDATED PHOTOS TOMORROW

FINALLY, I AM HOME FROM THE HOSPITAL AND BACK PLAYING WITH MY 10 LITTLE ANGELS. OH, HOW I MISSED THEM.

1. All 10 Kittens visited the Vet on Dec. 16th for their first set of innoculations and physical examinations. Completely weaned from their mommies.

2. Due to my hospitalization, they are behind on their schedule for second set of innoculations and neutering/spaying. Will be done during the week of Jan. 10th. Further notices will be posted as soon as appointments are booked.

3. People On Waiting List will be making their choices soon. That page was updated tonight.

4. Definitely planning to update photos tomorrow.

Thank you everyone for being so patient with me while I struggled to get over two separate surgeries. Each day now I am getting stronger. The highlight of my day is sitting in an easy chair, in the kitchen, with all 10 little imps scampering over my lap. All my aches and pains fade away. They are the best medicine I can take for my recovery. Bye for now.

PLAYING 'HIDEY-SEEK' ON GRANDMA !

Panic, Panic! Looked into the crib last night just before I went to bed, and EMPTY!!! All was quiet in the room, with no wee ones crying out for my help. Under the two dressers and around the mechanism of my Ultramatic Bed are completely blocked off. The above photo shows what I found under the foot of my bed, hiding behind the floor length bedspread. I couldn't leave them on the bare hardwood floor, so I did put these blankets under them before I took their picture. This would have made a better video than a static pic. Moving them back into the crib proved to be impossible. Quicker than I could pick them up, the two girls were grabbing them and jumping back onto the floor with them. Deciding that they knew best, I made them as comfortable as possible. Within a few weeks, there will be kittens running everywhere in my room. Haven't really crossed that bridge in my mind ..... will decide on a next step when it becomes unsafe to walk into the room. Also concerning is the thought that I might roll over on them in the middle of the night. It won't be long before they can scamper up the bedding, onto the bed. In my mind, this is not a permanent move, but I know the girls disagree with me. I'll let you know what the next stage/chapter is.

Individual photos are being taken and uploaded onto the Kittens Available page during the next couple of days.

TAHHH DAHHH !!!!! COUNT 'EM - - - "TEN"

FIRST PHOTO PRESENTED: OPAL owns 6 of these. CRYSTAL has 4 (her kittens have a string bow tied around their necks). Haven't sexed them yet. Colours & Patterns are just starting to show up. Notice the dark ears vs. pink ears. Nose leather colour will be next. Daddy BEAU JADE has likely painted his markings on many. OPAL will give her girls some tortie splashes, and her boys could be flame points. CRYSTAL will have a bunch of mittens on her babies. Watch "KITTENS AVAILABLE" for updates. Their little eyes will be opening this weekend.

ANOTHER OF CRYSTAL'S ANGELS FLIES UP TO KITTEN HEAVEN

First time mommy Crystal had to endure yet another of her wee ones leaving. The tiny newborn just could not hold onto life, and with both Crystal and Opal kissing and snuggling him, he slipped away to join his sibling Across the Rainbow Bridge. Even though I know in my brain that kitten mortality is a fact of life, my heart still breaks to witness a little baby die. The remaining 10 are demanding full attention from their moms. Always hungry or in need of a diaper change.
Life goes on!

KITTENS, KITTENS, KITTENS : *** WHAT A BIRTHING MARATHON ***

Well, just as suspected: Crystal waited for Opal to show her how. After Opal delivered six little ones yesterday afternoon, Crystal decided to give it a go. Her first kitten was born 3 hours later, but she struggled until 6:40 AM to complete her job. Not to be outdone, she produced six wee kitties too. Unfortunately, one has lost the battle of surviving those first 8 hours, so Crystal now has five tiny little bundles of joy to nurture along. The two girls are together in one playpen, nursing whichever kitten latches on. Crystal's kiddies have string bows around their necks as a method of keeping track. Not that it seems to matter. I'll post a photo tomorrow so you can all enjoy the sight. What a miracle it was to see each queen help the other as the babies arrived. After 9 hours, Crystal was very tired and ready to give up. Opal coaxed and licked Crystal's face to encourage her to rally around. I felt humbled to have the privilege of witnessing this bonded loving connection between them. Right now everyone is sleeping peacefully: kittens facing the heat lamp at whatever degree of closeness and warmth they need. Instinct is such a marvelous mystery to behold. Till tomorrow ... Bye Bye.

BELATED HAPPY THANKSGIVING.

Still awaiting the arrival of Crystal's litter. She is stuck like glue to my side, but no signs of impending birth. If I leave the living room, she stands at the door and cries for me to come back. Soooooooo, guess where I spent the weekend? Perhaps she and Opal have made a pact to deliver at the same time. Won't that be a challenge. Counting kittens and placentas ... sure hope the numbers match.
Will let you know when they arrive. Bye for now.

CHEATED AND PAID DEARLY! WELL, I'LL BE GO TO 'HELLO'!

Not without warnings. Everyone told me to be good, and follow the rules as set out. Boring, Boring. I, of course, knew better. Just one little indiscretion ..... what can it hurt? Put a tiny bit (honest ... not a lot) of parmaesan cheese on my spaghetti and plain tomato sauce to add some zest to my insipid diet. Well, now I've gone & done did it!!! Awoke the sleeping panther and agonized while it ate itself up.

Herein after, I do so solemnly swear to be good to my gallbladder and pancreas and eat no fat or dairy again, until such time this insidious gland is removed. So, please my friends, do not invite me out for lunch or dinner. Restaurants frown upon serving up porridge or cheerios midday.

TWO WEEKS LATER : STILL LACKING STRENGTH AND ENERGY. STAMINA IS A VAGUE MEMORY.

Just a quick note to say "Hi". Feeling weak as a kitten, and not bouncing back quickly. Thankfully, life goes on at JFRH. Hubby Patrick still my # 1 CAT WRANGLER.

  • 90% sure both Opal and Crystal are in kitten. Due dates are Oct. 11th (Crystal) and Oct. 15th (Opal).
  • Francina has completed her regimen of antibiotics, and is with Beau Jade now. Let's hope she is able to conceive and carry full term.
  • Tatiana will cycle within the next two weeks, and at that time will visit Honeybear.
  • Both Panzy and Sapphire are resting, and will be bred in the New Year.

FINISHED ANTIBIOTICS TWO DAYS AGO ......... FINALLY COMING OUT OF THE NAUSEOUS FOG OF PAST THREE WEEKS.

My hospital stay was not just for Acute Pancreatitis. While there, I acquired Antibiotic-Associated Clostridium Difficile Colitis. Even though the pancreas has been asleep for over a week, the side effects of the drugs fighting the C-Diff were horrible. Twenty pounds lighter (good news) but dehydrated (bad news). Living on Oatmeal Porridge, Cheerios, Shreddies, Rice, and Plain Pasta to fill me up. Find out on Monday when the Gallbladder comes out. My first treat after to celebrate will be a coffee with REAL CREAM. Didn't know a body could crave something so much. I literally 'Dream' about a decent cup of coffee. ............

Only two little kittens remain with us. Little "Freckles" travels to Cornwall on the 19th, and wee "Prince" flies to Montreal on the 29th. All others are adjusting to their new family's lives.

Francina has again not carried to term. Such a sad time. She will undergo blood tests and scoping to see if we can help her.

Perhaps the Good Lord is watching over me, and forcing a break from kittens to allow me time for surgery and healing. Still have further dental surgery to undergo in Oct-Nov. By Christmas, I should be hunky dorey. Till next time ...........................

HOME SWEET HOME / MY OWN BED / I AM IN HEAVEN

Well maybe not quite. BUT, oh my how wonderful to climb into my own sheets this afternoon for a short nap ... yep, you guessed it. Just now waking up. Supper at 10:00 PM.

Health update is that in four weeks (barring emergency returns) I will be getting my gallbladder removed. If I wasn't going to be asleep at the time, I would want to be the one to personally throw it into the garbage. The acute pancreaititis is subsiding and infection in the gallbladder is under control. Anyone who has been through this understands when I say "Damn, that hurt!"

Already contacted a few folk to arrange kitten delivery on Friday. Will be emailing, phoning, everyone else tomorrow, Wednesday, Sept 2nd.

Whew, there goes that burst of energy. Back to bed for this people. Nighty Nite.

Monday Night Report From the Hospital Bed

The doctors promised they could put this humpty dumpty back together again, Well there is enough tape and gauze holding me intact; I get out of here tomorrow late afternoon.

This will give me sometime to be with the kittens during their last week at JFRH. Talk to all new families in the next couple of days.

Heart felt gratitude for your understanding during this emergency hospital stay of 2.5 weeks.

I have been asked again by Joan to let you all know that she is back in the hospital. Not sure what is going on. We will keep you posted. She wants everyone to know that she will get to her emails once she is returned home.

Thanks,

HOME FROM HOSPITAL - WEAK BUT OK -

Home Saturay afternoon, and straight to bed. Will get started on emails and phonecalls today. I am so very sorry to have left you all wondering what was happening with your little kittens. By the way, Pat stepped up to the plate, and did a marvelous job of keeping all cats fed, talked to, ears scratched, and of course, litters changed. He carted Panzy's 7 to the vets for their surgeries and checked them eveyday to make sure there were no complications. All came through with flying colours ....... better than I did. After 7 days in the hospital, I came home with a phantom pain still in my tummy whenever I attempt to eat. Even sipping water sets it off. On a liquid diet, two new meds, and 'go home and take it easy'.

Over the next couple of days, I will be contacting everyone to arrange the pickup schedule.

Pat and I are attempting to co-ordinate a van trip for September 4th to transport kittens. Normally we do not deliver, but encourage people to come see the Cattery and know where their kittens grew up. With my prognosis being rather unsettled, perhaps this will ensure their getting to their new homes without it counting on me being here. Pat and a friend will deliver to Hamilton, Toronto area, and on up to Barrie that day. It is estimated that the cost for gasoline will vary from $25.00 to $45.00. I'll be contacting the people it could affect to see if arrangements can be made for a local pickup point.

Please bear with us through this burp (pun intended) in our summer plans. Hopefully, all will return to normal in a few weeks of 'gut rest'. Talk to everyone individually A.S.A.P. Bye for now.

Out of Comission!

I was asked by Joan's husband Pat to post a note letting people know that Joan will be in the hospital for the next 3-4 days. Everything is fine. She will get to all her emails when she is able.

Thanks,

YESTERDAY'S VET VISIT - ALL KITTENS

SMILING FACES ALL AROUND. 13 Little Ones made their first trip in an automobile to the Vet yesterday. Not to say that everything was happy go lucky at first, but they soon relaxed in the big cage in the back of my CRV. Each kitten underwent a thorough physical examination before getting their first set of shots: 2 needles in the scruff of the neck. Only a couple objected loudly, but soon forgot all about it and were purring loudly again.

Next week, August 18th, all of Panzy's kittens go in for their spay/neutering surgery.

August 27th will be Sapphire's kittens appointment for spaying/neutering.

On September 3rd, all 13 kittens will go back to the vet for their final booster shots plus rabies.

ATTENTION PANZY KITTENS OWNERS: This delay for Panzy's kittens to receive their final shots is due to the fact the Vet's Office was closed for 2 weeks, and that was when their shots were due. They had to be postponed for a week. The earliest they are ready to go home is the LATE AFTERNOON of September 3rd onwards.

ATTENTION ALL 13 KITTEN OWNERS: Please email me to schedule your pickup date & time after 4:00 PM on September 3rd. I will be available any afternoon or evening from then on. Their suitcases will be packed and they will be anxiously awaiting the beginning of their lives with you and your family.

ALL MY BABIES HAVE NEW HOMES!

This is always a bittersweet moment when I realize that another batch of kittens will be venturing forth into their new exciting lives with their new families. Yes, I know, that is why I breed Ragdolls, but it is still a little sad for me to admit that they are no longer "my" precious babies.

Crystal and Opal are presently being rebred for Winter kittens. Francina shows all signs of carrying to term her kids, fathered this time by Honeybear. I am already preparing the nursery in my bedroom, looking forward to that event.

Panzy and Sapphire are both settled back into the Queens' Quarters, enjoying the sunshine and chasing flies.

Not much else is happening. Summer heat is upon us, and everyone has switched into 'lazy' mode. Just wish the grass would quit growing so Pat could catch a break from that chore. Keep cool and talk soon. Bye for now.

PANZY & SAPPHIRE'S KITTENS UPDATED PHOTOS SENT OUT TO NEW FAMILIES

This morning I finished sending out to everyone photos taken yesterday afternoon. If you have not received yours by now, please email me right away. I used a new software program and do not feel totally confident it worked for me.

PHOTO DAYS - MONDAY & TUESDAY

Battery is on the charger. Today and tomorrow will work on getting updated photos to all new moms, dads, & families. Hotmail is still not compressing photos and allowing multiple uploads. Really slows down my output.

I am trying to get a photo of 13 kittens eating, but of course, one is always out of range. It is such a hoot when I call them with a bell. They know exactly what that means, and there is a stampede of kittens, each trying to get their heads in the dishes first. This twice daily treat is a combination of Kitten Milk Replacer Stage Two, wet chicken food, dry kibble and enough water to make it stewish. To even spoil them more, I heat the mixture up in the micro, and serve it to them warm. I'll keep trying to capture the sheer bedlam of those first few moments.

Start of a new week. Have a great one Everybody.

HEH, WHERE DID EVERYBODY GO???

Been wandering around cyberspace looking all over for you folks. Haven't seen a soul I know for almost three days. Sure glad I found you again. That internet jungle is a huge place to be lost in. Was very lonely without you all. (NB. For those of you thinking I have gone right off the deep end, my website was down for 3 days. Totally out of reach. Suffered terribly with "internet withdrawal"!)

ALL OF PANZY'S KITTENS ARE ADOPTED. NOW IN THE PROCESS OF BEING WEANED.

Poor little darlings. It is that time in their life (7 weeks) when Mommy has to say good-bye, and the babies are on their own. Over the years, I have devised a plan wherein they don't panic from the sudden absence of Mommy being taken away. Nursery # 2 and # 3 have a double wired door between them. Panzy is in # 3 and the kittens are right next door in # 2. They can see her, talk to her, and be calmed by her presence right beside them. Twice a day for an hour, Mommy visits, bathes them all from head to toe, and is relieved of some milk. This procedure is followed for a week, and by the end of that time, Mommy is almost dried up, and the kittens are feeling very confident and happily eating their 'big boy/girl' food. Panzy will go back out to the Queens' Quarters where she will have months to laze in the sun and gain back all her weight. Her seven kids come back into the Kitchen for the next month before they journey forth to their new families and wonderful new lives.

Sapphire and her little cherubs will move into those Nurseries next week. At the end of their weaning time, they will join Panzy's in the Kitchen. In case you have lost track of the numbers: 7 + 6 = 13 little tornadoes whirling around the table and chair legs, climbing the cat tree, and stampeding into the bathroom when any human attempts to sneak in their alone.

Love it. Love it. Love it.

SAPPHIRE'S KITTEN'S PHOTOS TODAY

Have you ever tried to photograph the wind? What a laugh. Because I didn't want the kittens to look bleary eyed, I took their pics during play time. It was fun, and I had a blast ... BUT it was far more time consuming that I ever anticipated. Posted and Emailed Panzy's Kids pics last night around midnight. Today, it is Sapphire's kitten's turn. Hope to catch them in a more obliging frame of mind. Not that I am complaining. No, not at all. Who could not enjoy playing with 7 kittens for an afternoon? Today, I get to tease and tickle 6 little tigers. Yippeeeee.

TODAY IS PHOTO DAY - STAY TUNED -

Getting my Photo Area set up again, and ready to start to shoot. Usually takes a full day to get the photos, and then a few hours to choose and post. Hopefully you will see some new faces later tonight. Also, will be sending new mommies and daddies updates. All are growing and prospering. Lovely Little Ragdolls All Over The Kitchen. What could be more fun?????

7 KITTENS HAVE RUN OF KITCHEN WHILE 6 KITTENS HAVE RUN OF BATHROOM : PAT & I GET LIVING ROOM. SEEMS FAIR!!!

Within another day, all 13 kittens will be together, running free in the two rooms. They are totally litter trained now, but if an accident does occur, it is easy to clean up on the tile floors. They won't be trusted on the living room carpet for at least another week. This stage in potty training is very important: allowing mistakes to happen is such a backwards step. Now is the time to instill in their minds exactly where this duty must be done. Only then will their life's adventure expand into other rooms of the house.

PANZY'S KITTENS OCCUPY BATHROOM - LITTER TRAINING COMPLETED.

These 7 little ones have totally staked a claim to our bathroom. Yesterday's News Litter is all over the floor. Good news is that "No Mistakes" have occured in days and days. BabyCat 34 kibble is disappearing in surprisingly large quantities. Water bowl is for drinking out of, but also for wading in. Within days, these babies will break loose and claim the kitchen for their next homestead. Not that Pat and I will get the bathroom back. Sapphire's 6 will move in immediately. Hope they learn their 'potty' lessons as quickly as Panzy's have. Then we can enjoy all 13 playing tag under the kitchen table and chairs.

FAMILY B-B-Q TODAY IN BURLINGTON. KITTEN PHOTO DAY TOMORROW.

Pat and I are travelling to my sister Mary's home for a family get together. Meeting my grand nephew Matias and his mommy Monica for the first time. Nephew Mark and his brand new family have come from England for the introductions. Will be a much needed break and a chance to re-bond with family.

Sapphire's kittens are making the big move into the kitchen condo today. Panzy and Saffy will be reunited after a five week separation. They are such good friends that it will be fun to watch them aquaint their babies to the others.

Picture that!!! 13 kittens helping Pat cook his bacon and eggs each morning. Promise to share some of those Kodak moments with you in weeks to come.

NEWSY BITS AND UPDATING OF PHOTOS

Today three kittens left to begin making new life-time memories with their families. Bittersweet to see them go, but happy to see the excitement in their human's eyes.

Tomorrow my gameplan is to spend the day with my camera and the kittens. Time for new pics of the little gaffers. Likely take until tomorrow night to get them posted onto this site, but keep watch. They have grown so much in a week.

THREE OF PANZY'S KITTENS MATCHED TO NEW FAMILIES THIS WEEKEND.

My oh My, This is what makes the breeding of Ragdolls so worthwhile. To see adults and children alike, totally taken with a certain kitten. That moment when the one kitty stands out, and immediately becomes a family member. I feel so privileged to be a part of that.

Tomorrow I am back to being a Gardener. Today I spent the entire day playing with Kittens.

LOVE WHAT I DO.

HOW EMBARASSING! WRONG MOMMY NAME ON PANZY'S KITTENS PHOTOS.

Didn't just have one "senior's moment" last night ... had FIVE. So sorry for the confusion. Those kittens are definitely Panzy's and not Tati's. What a dolt I am!!!!

PANZY'S KITTENS PHOTOS TODAY - 3 Weeks 6 Days

Just finished posting the individual photos of these babies on the Kittens Available page. Have a look. They are a beautiful litter of kittens, even if I do say so myself. Today was the first day they had food and a litter pan introduced into their lives. Babyhood is being left behind.
Tomorrow sees Tati's 3 youngsters going to the vet for their 11 week Spaying & Neutering. Hard to believe that within a week, they will be off to their new families.
Sapphire's Litter is due for photo updates, which I will attempt to complete by Tuesday Evening. They will be 2 Weeks 5 Days.
These few days of rain are giving me a chance to get some computer work done up. Gardening will wait until Thursday or Friday.
Chat with you all again soon. Bye for now.

PANZY'S SIBLINGS SNOOZE

The Pure Innocence of Kittens : Here pictured sound asleep, dreaming and twitching, so totally unaware of the World around them.

Red Ribbon Boy and Baby Shower Ribbon Girl snuggle together, whispering secrets before drifting off.

Watching them is absolutely mesmerizing: like looking into a campfire. I can sit beside their playpen, and let the time slip by. Stress just melts away. When I was at the Doctor's a week ago, my blood pressure registered the lowest it has been in years and years (124/74). When asked what I was doing to cause such a significant drop, the only answer I could come up with was "Playing with the Kittens".

Hopefully tomorrow I can get decent individual photos of Sapphire's kittens to post, as well as updates of Panzy's kids. Watch KITTENS AVAILABLE page for them.

Now, I am off to bed. Wouldn't it wonderful to be able to Sleep the Sleep of these Kittens ? ! Nighty Night.

3 DAYS EARLY, SAPPHIRE HAS 6 BABIES.

Guess she was just jealous from watching Panzy's kittens, so decided Thursday night was the night. The only sign that she was ready ... two of Panzy's kittens were now nursing off Sapphire. I mean, they were HAVING LUNCH! The milk was being served! Both Panzy and Sapphire put up quite a fuss when I banished Panzy's family to the living room. Sapphire was insistant that she have her babies right in with Panzy's bunch, but I said "Nope". The colostrum in Sapphires milk is limited and her own kittens have between 18 - 36 hours to benefit from it. No enough to share with 7 bigger bullies. All have settled into their individual playpens, and life is quiet and serene once again at JFRH.

Opal met with Beau Jade for four days. Being her first time bred, I cannot guess whether she caught or not. We'll know within a month. Crystal is now with Beau. Time will tell whether these two girls have their babies close together or not. They are such closely bonded girlfriends, I really would like that for them.

Francina is still dead in heat, but it is too early to try her again. She needs a few months to heal up from her stillbirth. Likely July or early August. Now, if I could only explain that to her!

Looking forward to some fresh air and gardening this weekend. Been stuck in the maternity ward for two days and feel the need for a big big breath of Summer air.

Till next time, .................

TATI'S 4 KITTENS VISIT VET FOR 1ST SHOTS

Yesterday, at 3:30 PM, on their 8 week birthday, they each got 2 needles and a thorough examination by the vet. The lightest in weight was 1.9 lbs. with the heaviest coming in at 2.3 lbs. All were deemed to be in fantastic shape: eyes, ears, teeth, palate, and heart were clear, clean, white with pink gums, not a cleft in sight, and ticking like little clocks. Brave to the smallest, not a one let out any cries when picked. I am sure I winced and closed my eyes for all 8 inocculations.

Weaning commences immediately, with Tati being removed from their presence for 8 hours at a stretch. She then visits for a couple of hours to relieve her mammary glands, and reassure the little ones that all is well. This 8 hours away and 2 hours with continues for about a week. By then, Tati is quite happy to say "Have a great life kids; I am out of here!" She will go back to her private condo, and bask in the sunshine.

Tomorrow I hope to make the first educated (dumb luck?) guess what colour and pattern each of Panzy's kittens are. Some eyes are starting to open, and I see some signs that their hearing is becoming active. The next five days will make such an outstanding difference for them. Ears start to stand right up, away from their heads and they loose the "white mice" look.

Sapphire is really getting awkward and sooooooo close. She is so very anxious to have her own babies to look after, I wouldn't be surprised if she kittened a few days early (due 14th). But, as sure as I say that, she will go four days over. My girls constantly make me look foolish to all you people. As sure as I say one thing, they will purposely do the exact opposite.

Oh my God ... I sound like my Mother!!!!! On that note, I think I shall retire to my bed.

Goodnight All.

CHANTILLY'S TUMMY WRAP

This photo could be entered into an ad for DUCT TAPE. Another use for this wonder product. Chantilly was not happy when she returned from the vets, with a wrap encasing her torso. She tore it off within an hour. Pat and I applied 4" wide tape around her neck, figure eighting it over her shoulders and chest, and then her complete tummy length. Still fighting our best efforts, Tilly again ripped most of the bandaging off. At our wits' end, we decided to wrap her in duct tape, being very very careful not to pull it toooooo tight. She looks like a knight in shining armour. Thankfully, this seems to have foiled her best efforts to remove the bandaging. We didn't put her in an Elizabethian Collar because of the stress it causes. Now that Tilly has given up trying to rip it off, she is quietly relaxing in her hammock.

Another example that Duct Tape can fix ANYTHING!!!

PANZY SURPRISES ME WITH 6 BOYS

HEAVENS TO BETSY, MYRTLE!!!!! Three times I looked at this bunch of kittens, and the answer kept coming up the same ... 6 boys and only 1 little girl. My friends John and Cathy Konecny with granddaughter Tiffany were visiting. Cathy acted as secretary and made a check mark each time I proclaimed "Boy" or "Girl". Tiffany made sure I didn't count the same kitten twice. Sooooooo, unless I was seeing poorly, the final tabulation is correct.

John suggested I shake each kitten, and if it rattled, that was my proof it was a boy. We girls vetoed that idea. Panzy took all the fuss over her babies calmly in stride. Sapphire made sure all kittens had clean bottoms when we were finished inspecting them.

Quite a team effort all the way around I would say.

Have a look at the "Kittens Available" page for their photo at 4 days of age.

Sorry the "Waiting List" did not get updated today. Ran out of time. Will move that task to the top of my "To Do's" for tomorrow.

Toodles till then.

BUSY DAY WITH 5 CATS AT THE VETS

Now, don't get alarmed. It was time for 4 girls to have their yearly inoculations. So, Pat and I Honda'd to London with 5 cages, and complaining yowling felines drowning out any conversation or radio we tried to listen to.

Pearl, P.C., Crystal and Opal got their boosters, much to their chagrin.

As soon as Crystal and Opal cycle this month, they will be introduced to Beau or Honeybear. At 15 months of age, their careers as stay at home moms shall begin.

Chantilly came home with us after a stay at the clinic. She went in to have a procedure which required her overnighting. She had a 'rogue follicle' within her abdominal cavity which caused her to come into heat, even though she was spayed last month. I swear, there is always something new to learn about in this breeding business. Who would'a thunk it?

Tomorrow is 'sexing' day for Panzy's kittens. Will be posting a photo of the brood on 'Kittens Available' page. What a wiggling pile they make when sleeping under the heat lamp. Incredible to see the daily changes.

"Waiting List" will also be updated tomorrow. Check it out if you are anxiously awaiting your turn to choose your kitten.

Now, I am off to bed. Nighty Night.

STILL LEARNING HOW TO OPERATE NEW SYSTEM!

Heh Folks: Whewwwwwwwwwww .... taking me a few false starts to get the hang of this!

My sole project for today is to get some photos and descriptions on the "Kittens Available" page. If by tonight they are still not there, please have a moment of silence for my mental acuity. It is likely shattered into a million pieces, with me blubbering all over my keyboard.

Update on Panzy and her 7 sweet wee ones. All are feisty, fighting for a spot at the dinner table, and hissing if they catch a whiff of my scent. They sleep in a heap, with me frantically counting heads to make sure all are accounted for. This morning I freaked when only 6 were in sight. Quick inspection of the bedding found the missing kitten tucked neatly under the flannel sheet. Sound asleep without a worry. Panzy was cool and relaxed. Only Gramma Joan showed concern.

Now, off with camera in hand to chase down Tati's 7 week old kids. Almost impossible to get them to stand still for a split second, before they are off again to tumble over each other, or just plain drive Tati nuts. They are the whirling phantoms I plan to capture in darling, loveable photos. Then upload into this unforgiving, techie Blog labyrinth I am assured is completely user friendly and 'dummy easy' to operate.

YEAH !!! RIGHT !!!

WELCOME TO MY NEW WEBSITE !!!

Hello Friends: Today a dream of mine has come true. My gorgeous Ragdoll Cats and Kittens are being showcased in a professionally designed website. Rob Redding has worked tirelessly to organize many pages of information into this neat succinct format. Thank you Rob so very much for hanging in there with me (in spite of me???) and bringing this fantasy to fruition.

Now, I shall get busy and do my part. All updated photos and descriptions of "Kittens Available" are my responsibility. Give me a couple of days to figure out the "blog" programs, and I promise to stay on top of this task.

Have fun getting to know your way around this site. Just hover your cursor over many of the photos, and they will 'pop' up for viewing.

Please accept my invitation to be a part of building this site. I am inviting all JFRH Kitten Owners to submit photos for inclusion on the "Gallery Page". It will be fun to view the adults these "Kittens Adopted" have become.

Check back here often for my latest 'blurbs on my blog'. Also, don't forget to 'bookmark' the new Homepage. Don't want to loose track of any of you.

Bye for now.
